Smurfit Kappa has announced the launch of its new Diagonal Flute Box, which optimizes the existing transport packaging for hair care products.
According to the company, the direction of the corrugations on the e-corrugated board has been rotated.
The twisted arrangement of the cuts on the punching sheet resulted in improvement in the layout significantly, which led to savings of 20% in the packaging for the customer.
Besides, the enhanced technical characteristics meant that the diagonal corrugation achieved a roughly 13% higher Box Compression Test (BCT) value.
With the enhanced flatness and bending resistance of the grooves uniformly, the machine operation could also be improved.
